Fit For Life

A man in a wheelchair is assisted to use gym equipment. The Fit For Life project is designed for adults aged 16 to 90, in fact anyone who is rehabilitating from illness, or who has a disability. It aims to encourage a healthy lifestyle through effective and safe exercise in a friendly environment.

Our aim is to provide, promote and increase opportunities for exercise and physical activity in the borough of Reigate and Redhill for people with all kinds of disability; learning, physical or sensory, as well as those with health conditions such as coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus, strokes and mental health problems.

Regardless of disability or chronic illness, by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, combining exercise and sensible eating, everyone can enjoy an improved quality of life as well as the benefits of lower stress levels.

Who can join?

Anyone can be accepted onto the FFL project if they are referred or recommended by their medical practitioner, social worker or physiotherapist. People may also refer themselves to the project, and may be accepted as a member after an initial assessment by qualitfied staff. Acceptance is conditional on satisfactory medical references.
