Welcome to Your Challenge page and well done to those of you who have taken the opportunity to Change your Life and that of someone in the Community. You won’t regret it! BOOTS AND BIKES OUT! (Training Information)
Training is now well underway for all you who have signed up to one of our exciting and life changing challenges. Both cycling and walking sessions are regularly taking place so please note the following and remember they are FREE – all you have to do is Be There (download training programme)
CYCLING: On Road – all starting at the YMCA 0930

- And every Tuesday night from 1830 at the YMCA, Princes Road
CYCLING: Off Road
- Monday 3rd June
- Sunday 11th July
- Sunday 1st August
- And every Tuesday night from 1830 at the Car Park Reigate Heath
WALKING
- Sunday 25th April
- Plus for those of you attempting the W3K or Yorkshire 3 Peaks, our Centre Manager Rob Cook is planning to do Colley Hill Circuits on Wednesday evenings, please call us if you are interested in joining him!
The more miles you get in your legs and feet, the more you will enjoy your Challenge so whenever you can ‘Ditch the Car’ and get those ‘Bikes and Boots out’. HOW DO LIVES CHANGE?
You are probably now already experiencing the joys of getting active either through cycling or walking and maybe using the Gym. But how are you changing other lives ………. As a Challenger you have paid for the cost of your event, therefore EVERY PENNY you raise goes DIRECTLY into helping those more vulnerable young people and children in YOUR community. There is a vast need throughout the community and the projects below are just a flavour of what you are enabling to happen.
- The Yippee Project: Play and leisure for children with severe disability plus valuable respite for families
- Yip 4 Youth: Play and leisure for young people aged 13 – 15 with disability
- Heads Together: Free counselling for vulnerable young people in emotional crisis
- Hillbrook House: Support and accommodation for local young people in housing need
- Active Living: Volunteering projects for young people with physical disability and learning difficulties
- Fit for Life: Safe, controlled physical activity for those who are disabled or facing long term sickness
- Sports and Social: a Friday night sports youth project for young disabled people.
WE CAN HELP YOU
We know that sometimes, the fundraising can be as challenging as the event itself, but can offer a variety of tips and advice to take the pressure off (download tips). The best way is to set yourself with a justgiving web site where you can create a personalised page and get your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you on line. But above all, be proud of what you are taking on and tell you sponsors about the amazing feat you are attempting, the training you are putting in and let them know how they too will be changing lives in the community. Remember it is an amazing thing that you are doing.
