Heads Together Youth Counselling has been operating from the YMCA for the past 10 years.
We employ volunteer counsellors who offer free counselling to young people between the ages of 14 and 25. There is no limit to the amount of sessions you can have, apart from the age limits.
Some people find one session is enough whilst others find it useful to come for a longer period.
Everything that is discussed with the counsellor is private and nothing you tell us will be passed on to anyone outside the agency unless we think you or any other person will be in serious danger. Even then we would try to talk to you about it first.
We have counselling rooms at the YMCA Princes Road Redhill, St Faith's Family Centre in Leatherhead and recently placed a counsellor at East Surrey College for students of the college to access easily.
We offer once weekly counselling sessions, which last for 50 minutes. Appointments are available at Redhill Monday to Friday from 4.30pm to 8.30pm and Saturday during the day. Appointments for Leatherhead are on a Wednesday evening from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. If you are a student at East Surrey College, please contact our counsellor based there for an appointment.
Young people come to us for a wide variety of reasons, typical issues include family breakdown, sexual, physical or mental abuse, self-harm and range from school bullying to young parenting issues.
