A Life Changing Journey. Set your sights on a new goal for 2008 — Get Fit, Have Fun, Raise Funds and support our community by taking part in a YMCA Challenge.
Welcome to the Fundraising Challenge Events Programme and a chance to join us on a ‘Life Changing Journey’ For the past 7 years, the wide range of challenge events we have provided have given people the opportunity to try something new, meet new friends, take on personal goals while raising money for worthwhile causes in our community. Last year, challengers raised in excess of £35,000 which enabled us to help many local families with high quality play and leisure activities for their disabled children. This year, money raised will focus on Heads Together, our free and confidential youth information and counselling service for local vulnerable young people who are often faced with complex and challenging issues in their lives.
The theme for the year is a Life Changing Journey, reflecting the journeys taken by the challengers and the local young people's journeys through the Head's Together service.

YMCA Challenge Events have been set up to raise money to support Life Changing Work in our community such as Fit for Life, Hillbrook House and the Yippee Project, which provides playschemes, Saturday club and respite care for children with disability and complex needs. This year, the focus will be on Heads Together, our free and confidential youth information and counselling service for local vulnerable young people who are often faced with complex and challenging issues in their lives. It is hoped that all participants will raise money and this year we are looking to raise £25,000. There will be prizes for challengers raising over £10, £50, £100 and all challengers are invited to our end of year Challenge Gala Evening where top fundraisers for each event will receive awards. This year’s Gala Evening will be taking place on Friday 28th November at the Reigate Manor Hotel. Sponsorship should be collected using the YMCA sponsor form or on- line through justgiving.com.
