Reigate and Redhill YMCA has been providing a wide range of activities and programmes for the local community for the last 15 years. This developing and vibrant local charity has been integral in providing fitness, childcare and housing to a wide range of adults, young people and children. Our aim is to make our services accessible to everyone regardless of gender, race or ability and in recent years our work with both disabled adults and children has rapidly developed.
To ensure we can sustain this growth, we rely heavily on the support of our local community through our community fundraising and last year with such help, we managed to raise £20,000. This money ensured we could carry on with our work with local children with disability and provide a full and varied programme of activities, one to one care and provide places on our holiday playschemes and sportscamps. In addition we were able to provide a fully exclusive playscheme for children with more complex special needs, expand our Yippee Club on a Saturday to provide more places for disabled children and offer valuable respite for their parents.
This year, we need to raise £30,000 and this money will be used to sustain such projects as Yippee and we have put together an exciting, challenging and hopefully fun programme of events to encourage you to get fit, raise money for the Reigate and Redhill YMCA and take part in an event which will make 2007 a year to remember and of course have fun!. All money raised will go directly to support the work carried out by Reigate and Redhill YMCA and to assist you with your fundraising we can set up you up a personalised on-line fundraising page which means money can be raised electronically. This simple and effective means of raising funds has proved extremely popular with our challengers over the last few years, for further information please visit www.justgiving.com.
